Hit the Province!!

--departure, Manila to Dumaguete--

Our stay in the province is more fun than I expected most especially to Wakaba and Haruka. We have appreciated everything especially every experience that comes along during our stay there-- the tricycle rides, the tabo and palanggana bathes( I have to let them bathe on warm water though coz we don't have hot-cold shower at home), heading to beaches, eating some fave street foods ( like fishball, manggang hilaw, banana cue and etc. that I can't much a do when in Japan), of course, going into church--I promised myself to visit Dumaguete Cathedral, reminscing the old times that brings me into teary-eyes for sometimes, breathing some fresh air and believe it or not, I would just sneak out of the house and do what I am missing so much --" tambay sa kanto" lol! I know it doesn't make sense but I love those "O pare! Kumusta? " when meeting some close friends in our neigborhood. Nothing fancy, but great smiles ^_^

I'm proud to be a " Dumagueteno" and I wanna give you some landmarks and 'lil tour thru pics on my beloved province. Dumaguete City-- the City of Gentle People, as they said. Enjoy!
--Welcome to Dumaguete City!!---
--The Cathedral--
--I find peace when I'm inside at the church--
--the altar----The Belltower--the Campanario de Dumaguete was built upon one of the four massive watchtowers that parish priest Don Jose Manuel de Septien built in the 1760's to discourage moros from pillacing the town. The two layers which are now known as the belltower or the campanario were added during the admnistration of Fray Juan Felix de la Encarnation during 1867--

---The Boulevard, my family loves to take a walk at the boulevard--
---They serve the best baked goodies, I recommend their Silvanas and Brazo de Mercedes---

--JO' s Chicken Inato, simply the best barbequed chicken in Dumaguete! (foodies will be served at Food Trip Friday)
--Riding a pedicab is a unique experience for my kids and they love it especially hubby, he loves to sit at the back!--
---celebrating our 8th wedding anniversary at Sea Forest, will have a separate post for that---
--if only I could bring some bananas in Japan, I'll be grateful to have some banana cues lol!--
--same sky, different views--

Have a blessed weekend to everybody!!

Multigeniuses!

Hello there & don't think dat Haiti is ready 2 go 4ward. B4 we get in2 anythang, we have 2 acknowledge dat those peepo are still sufferin & will be 4 some time 2 come & don't U 4get, dat they been sufferin & ain't nothin changed ain't nothin strange! The media ain't talkin 2 much about it anymore as the mid-Atlantic snowstorm shut down DC & a few other states. They still need our help & we cannot allow the media 2 lull us in2 a false sense of security. Anyhow, on wit the show!
Multigeniuses is 2day's topic. We all kno dat da word multi means many & dat genius means a very smart person. I know y'all think of Einstein & Sherlock Holmes as geniuses but did y'all know dat Imhotep was da 1st? Have U ever even heard of this name b4? Well, peep game & let's get it in on the very 1st MG. Imhotep-aka the Father of Medicine(hippocrates was a hypcrite as Imhotep came 2200 years prior)just 4starters. Now don't get it twisted y'all, he was the 1st RECORDED mult-genius & hence, wrote down many potions, healing herbs & their properties as well as many other things. Imhotep was a great architect & was RUMORED 2 be the son of Ptah, a deity who could never be figured out. I walk in dat spirit as I was dubbed such by a Queen Mother once. Some of his titles include Chancellor of the King of Lower Egypt, Sculptor & Maker of Vases in Chief & Hereditary Nobleman. Ayo this dude was also a poet(2day he woulda been an MC) & a philosopher extraordinaire! Imhotep along wit AMENhotep were the only 2 mortals who reached deified royal status in Ancient Kemet now known as Egypt. What I'm sayin here truly does not do him full justice & I suggest y'all do some research on his life. Imhotep is still in the building!
Paul Robeson:A true Renaissance Man! An activist! A concert singer singin BASS like Chuck D! An All Afrikan/Amerikkkan Football Player. A Trade Union Activist. A multi-linguist. He was the MAN among other things & in fact, he still here as our DNA never let's us 4get if U know how 2 tune in2 it properlike. Remember, this info is 4 those who have ears 2 hear & eyes dat see & I don't care where U are or who U be! Paul was that dude yo! Ayo, my dude was a Broadway Star when Blaks & Niggers was gettin lynched & boy was he vocal about us bein free. This is somethin U hardly ever see 2day as those supposedly in power keep ya entertainers paid & complacent. Money is da root of all evil as they get it in & wouldn't give a crippled crab a crutch. This man loved his Blak peepo so much, he decided AT THE PEAK OF HIS CAREER, dat he would livicate his life 2 social justice issues much like Arthur Ashe & Jim Brown would do later. Of course U kno, 4 dat, the US, ruined his life & he had his passport revoked for 8 years. Kangaroo Courts tried 2 convict him of U name it but Mr Robenson was also a LAWYER. Yo, U gotta kno how this dude is as I'm givin y'all jus a smidgen of who he is/was. Imagine what more he could have done had he been white & free. WOW!!
Alton Maddox:A sandstorm who took on Human Form. He's not a lawyer, he is an Attorney at War as Del Jones aka Nana Kuntu was a War Correspondent. The man is a Master Litigator & I saw him in action makin Steven Pagones look like a lil Punk during a defamation trial in upstate NY. He was & still is defending our Sista, Tawana Brawley who was raped by White Govt Officials in NY State in 1987. He was the very 1st attorney to secure a special Prosecutor in a racial case for 3 Blak men beaten in Howard Beach as well. The man is a master activist, researcher, scientist, orator, teacher & 2 me, is the last man standing as his license as of this writing has been suspended since 1990. They used ilegal means 2 do this as the man fights VIGOROUSLY 4 his peepo & is relentless in his pursuit of justice. Because he is still very alive & kickin & I don't believe in biggin him up posthmously, I will refer y'all 2 his site where U can learn all about him 4 yaself. The name of the site is www.reinstatealtonmaddox.com & U can also check him at the United African MOVEMENT in Brooklyn NY each Wednseday at the Elks Lodge 1068 Fulton St. Now b4 U go, this education ain't 4 the faint of heart or beginners. Here they kickin 100% pure & unadulterated BLAKNESS so if U gotta luv 4 the other side or anything like it, U won't like it. There are not many other places 4 us as most of us have been pacified & diluted down 2 BULLSHIT! Let's get 2gether & feel alrite.
the Blaksmith:I think he's talkin about me & wow, what can we say about this brother. He 2 is an activist, a writer, poet, MC & music producer. I can also orate & constantly teach the youth as 2 they identity but I be runnin up againt formidable opponenets, namely the media. He's also a world traveller & has lived abroad almost 5years of his life already & compiles info 2 let y'all know what it is out there. U can check him out at www.black2afrika.blogspot.com or whereever the hell U find him. If he ain't now, he will be ALRITE! So there U have it. Treat them children of yours rite bcuz we don't kno where our next multi-genius may come from. Do U?

...and I met the Mushroom Family--finally!

--departure at Narita--

I would like to thank Niko of Niko's Blog, Yobib of Husband of a Blogger and their cutie daughter Yena for their precious time of coming their way from a wedding party all over to the hotel that we stayed for one night at Manila before our next flight to the province---it was such a busy day for them but still they made it just to meet my family. It was my first time to meet a friend on line personally and yes, I'm a lil bit shy of meeting them but the lovely couples were so friendly and warm and Yena played with Wakaba and Haruka. We really had a great time talking to each other even for just a couple of hours and we were entertained by Yena' s bahay kubo songs in which at first she was saying "ayaw" but I bribed her with chocolates and then she sang!LOL! She' s such a smart kid! I thought she would stop singing at the first phrase of the song but she sang it all so well! I was amazed by her counting in english and tagalog version, too! Can't help but hugged her because of her kawaiiness!! The Eras Family--Yobib, Niko and Yena

Our daughters--Yena, Wakaba and Haruka
And we finally met for the very first time!!
Pose like a japanese,Yena! sabi ni Mommy lol!
There you go!! Well done,Yena!!^_^ Niko is seriously talking here but I can't help but smile at Yena
Husband of a (spoiled)Blogger and a very responsible father to Yena--nice meeting you,Yobib!at the lobby before they left, it took us another 30 minutes of talking and taking photos lol!
...and to tell you the truth, kulang talaga ang oras natin for all the chikahan that I don't want you guys to go home!
Good morning, Philippines!!

---Between Friends there is no tally sheet on the exchange of good deeds and kindness, but there is a shared memory and assurance of more good things yet to come.---

Have a nice day to ya'll!!

Tadaima! We're back!!

Dear friends,

We're finally back after a short vacation in the Philippines and it's a freezing 2 degree C when we landed at Narita last Saturday night. It was such a long flight from our province to Manila then Manila to Narita--we stayed in a hotel for one night and went home next day. The vacation was great except for the last few days before leaving for Japan because Haruka had a slight fever ( she' s okay now ) and Wakaba got burned on her leg from my brothers motorcycle and thank God it wasn't that bad. We went to the hospital again here before letting her go to school this Monday morning and was welcomed back with a smile by her classmates and teachers at school! They really missed her and so is Wakaba ^_^

A quickie post to let everyone knows that we're safe and at home now ^_^ Thank you very much for your visits, comments and messages---will try to do some updates and visits to your respective sites after getting things in order. I can' t stand everything everywhere, it drives me crazy lol!

I JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW THAT I REALLY MISSED YOU GUYS!! \(^0^)/

With Love,
Clarissa
